Our management team at AEC has more than a century-and-a-half of experience in the fuel supply field. This unmatched depth of knowledge is a valuable resource for our customers, as well as providing our company with expert, visionary leadership as we strive to provide the highest levels of innovative products and services. Bart Rice Bart Rice brings 33 years of experience managing wholesale, distribution and manufacturing businesses in the petroleum industry to his role as CEO. He is also a certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Dick DeShazo Dick DeShazo is responsible for treasury services, financial reporting, risk management, and overseeing accounting-related functions. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, construction, and public accounting. Prior to joining AEC, Mr. DeShazo served as CFO for SAIIA Construction where he led numerous projects to modernize IT and financial reporting protocols. He is a certified public accountant and received his Master of Arts in Management from Birmingham-Southern College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University. Rick Parrot Rick Parrott heads sales and marketing through the company's pipeline terminal. He has 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry with an extensive background in both retail and wholesale marketing. Mr. Parrott joined Rice Oil Company as an ethanol sales representative and was promoted to his current position 13 years ago. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Samford University. Billy Addicks Billy Addicks is responsible for transmix processing and operations at company-owned fuel terminals. During his 20 plus years in the petroleum industry, Mr. Addicks has overseen operations, trade books, and is proficient at implementing trading and hedging strategies. Mr. Addicks recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University. Herbert Jernigan, P.E. Herb Jernigan is in charge of environmental compliance and Safety for AEC's facilities. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and has more than 20 years in the chemical and petroleum industries. Mr. Jernigan has been with AEC since 2006 and became Director of Engineering in 2008. Tim Sutherland Tim Sutherland heads all major capital improvement projects and maintenance at the process facilities. Mr. Sutherland supervises a crew of electricians, mechanics, welders, and pipe fitters. He has been in the construction industry for over 25 years and has worked at AEC's Birmingham site since 1993. Barb Lyons Barb Lyons manages the day-to-day operations of transportation including dispatching, drivers, and billing. In addition to managing transportation, she provides support to training, safety, environmental compliance, contracts, transmix, and marketing divisions. Ms. Lyons has been in the petroleum transportation industry for over 25 years and has been with AEC since 2001. |
